In the immortal words of Europe...

..."It's the final countdown!"

And in your head right now, you're going "Diddle-enh-denh, diddle-inh-dinh-denh." : )

So. I'm leaving soon. The packing is almost complete. I'm finished with work. I'm having good-bye dinners and lunches every day this week. I've changed my address on everything I can think of. What else is there to do? Well, there are a lot of little details to wrap up, but why sweat the small stuff? And on Friday I'm going to Lollapalooza! I can't wait!

The hardest part is all the good-byes. Good-byes suck, and I suck at good-byes. For someone who stays so unattached to places and things, it's weird how attached I can get to people. Even people that I don't see that often. Sigh.

Okay - thinking happier thoughts now. There's an Efteling trip planned for next Tuesday! Yee-haw! Lollapalooza and Efteling within four days of each other? Now that's a summer to remember.

I'll try and post once or twice more before I leave. And I'll try and post more often from over in Amsterdam. Oh, and before I go, you should know that "The Dark Knight" was awesome!

There are two I's in procrastination.

So, I'm trying to pack. I have put it off for pretty much as long as I can. There's so much to do that I have become paralyzed with indecision. It's quite daunting, actually.

There are a number of factors contributing. One, I don't really know what my quarters are gonna be like in Amsterdam. Two, I don't really have a good place to store stuff here. And three, I have some serious pack rat tendencies, and I've accumulated a lot of stuff!

I'm trying to be bold and decisive, but if there's anything anybody wants, I'd feel a lot better about giving it away than about donating it or just trashing it.

Anyway, I'm just typing to help put off the inevitable for a few more minutes. Sigh.
